A “Preachers’ Day at the State Capitol” is being planned for Feb. 8 for pastors, church staff members, evangelists and others in ministry interested in learning about moral issues that are before the 2011 General Assembly.
The event at the State Capitol Building in Frankfort is being sponsored by the God and Country Ministry led by Lee Watts, unofficial “chaplain to the state capitol.”
During the day, attendees will:
- Meet with representatives from the Family Foundation of Kentucky and others to learn about current legislative issues;
- Meet with legislators for prayer; and
- Participate in a preaching and singing service in the Capitol Building rotunda.
Activities begin with a complimentary breakfast at 8:30 a.m. and are expected to end around 2 p.m.
There is no cost to attend but registration for planning purposes is requested at www.godandcountryministry.com.
